  1. Lion - Lions are known as “King of the Jungle.” Lions are one of the largest cats in the world. Lions are carnivores and they hunt mostly antelopes, zebras and wildebeests. During one meal, lions can eat up to 40 pounds of meat. Average lifespan of Lion is 12 – 15 years in wild.
  2. Cheetah - Cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. They can reach a top speed of around 113 km per hour. Cheetahs cannot climb trees and have poor night vision, hence cheetahs hunt for food during the day. Average lifespan is between 10-12 years.
  3. Jaguar - The jaguar is the 3rd largest of the big cats after the tiger and the lion. They are only found in the Americas.They have a large, broad head with jaws so strong that they are said to have the most powerful bite of all the world's cats. Their lifespan in 12 – 15 years.
  4. Lynx - Lynx is a member of the cat family. They have short stubby tails and the long tufts of black hair on the ear. Lynx are usually solitary animals and will spend their time both hunting and resting alone. Their lifespan ranges between 12 - 20 years.
  5. Wolverine – Wolverine is the largest member of the weasel family. Wolverines prefer cold and snowy boreal forests, taiga and tundra regions. Wolverines have brownish to black fur with light stripes on its sides. Thick fur prevents animals from freezing. They have powerful legs, large heads, round ears and short tail. Their feet have pads with sharp claws.
  6. Dolphin - Dolphins are aquatic marine mammals part of the toothed whales. Dolphins are from 1.5 to 4 metres long. Although dolphins are widespread, most species prefer the warmer waters of the tropic zones. Dolphins feed largely on fish and squid. Dolphins are often regarded as one of Earth's most intelligent animals.
  7. Mink - Mink is a mammal that belongs to the family of weasels. Mink is covered with soft fur that is usually black or dark brown in colour. White marks can be seen on the chin, throat and chest. Mink is semi-aquatic animal. Mink is carnivore. Its diet consists of worms, fish, crayfish, amphibians, birds and small mammals. Mink is nocturnal creature.
  8. Wild Dog - Wild dog is a member of canine family. These animals inhabit open plains and woodlands of Sub-Saharan Africa. Wild dogs have long legs, strong jaws and large, bat-like ears. Their body is covered with fur which has irregular patches of red, brown, black, yellow and white colour.
  9. Komodo Dragon - Komodo dragon is a species of lizard that lives in the Indonesian islands of Komodo. It is the largest living lizard. They grow to an average length of 2–3 meters and weigh around 70 kg. They are very popular animals in zoos because they are very big and look scary.
  10. Dhole – Dhole is a type of Asian wild dog, that can be found in India, Korea, China, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Java. Dholes can be reddish brown, grey or beige in colour. Inner part of the ears and chest are white. Tail is darker in colour. Dholes have large, round ears and excellent sense of hearing. Dholes can survive up to 10 years in the wild.
  11. Snake – Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes. Snakes are found on every continent except Antarctica. Most species are non venomous and those that have venom use it primarily to kill and subdue prey rather than for self-defence. Non venomous snakes either swallow prey alive or kill by constriction.
  12. Alligator - Alligator is a genus in the order Crocodilia. There are two living species, the American alligator and the smaller Chinese alligator. Alligators are carnivorous and live along the edges of permanent bodies of water, such as lakes, swamps and rivers. They dig burrows in which they rest. Their average life span is about 50 years in the wild.
