  1. Bald Eagle - Bald eagle is a bird of prey that lives in North America. The bald eagle is a large bird. It is usually as tall as 70 to 102 centimetres and its wingspan is 2.44 metres. The adult bald eagle has a brown body and its head and tail are white. It also has yellow feet with large talons, and a hooked yellow beak. It is the national bird of the USA.
  2. Kookaburra – Kookaburras are terrestrial tree kingfishers native to Australia and New Guinea, which grow to between 28–42 cm in length. They are found in habitats ranging from humid forest to arid savanna, as well as in suburban areas with tall trees. Kookaburras are almost exclusively carnivorous, eating mice, snakes, insects, small reptiles and the young of other birds.
  3. Parrot - There are roughly 372 species of parrots in 86 genera and they are found in most tropical and subtropical regions. Parrots have curved beaks, strong legs and clawed feet. They are often brightly coloured. Parrots are believed to be one of the most intelligent bird species. Some parrot species can live for over 80 years.
  4. Bird of Paradise - The birds of paradise are a group of birds that are found in the tropical rainforests of south east Asia, mainly in the jungles of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and parts of eastern Australia. There are around 50 different birds of paradise species that range in size from 15cm to over a meter in height. Many birds of paradise species feed on fruits and berries. Birds of paradise are known to be the most dramatic and attractive birds in the world.
  5. Peacock - Peacock is the national bird of India. Peacock is a bird of the Phasianidae family. Peacock feathers accounts for 60 percent of the bird's total body length and with a wingspan measuring 5 feet, it is one of the largest flying birds in the world. Peacock are omnivorous, they eat many types of plants, flower petals, seeds,insects and small reptiles such as lizards.
  6. Scarlet Ibis - Scarlet Ibis is a species of ibis in the bird family Threskiornithidae. It inhabits in tropical South America and islands of the Caribbean. They are vivid orange-red in colour, with long, narrow, decurved red bill which turns black with time. Their legs and neck are long and extended in flight.
  7. Roadrunner – Roadrunner also known as a chaparral bird or chaparral cock, is a fast-running ground cuckoo that has a long tail and a crest. It is found in the southwestern United States and Mexico, usually in the desert.
  8. Humming Bird - Humming Bird are small & often brightly coloured birds of the family Trochilidae. They are among the smallest of birds: most species measure 7.5–13 cm. The smallest living bird species is the 2–5 cm Bee Hummingbird. They are also the only group of birds able to fly backwards.
  9. Night Heron – Night Herons are stocky birds compared to many of their long-limbed heron relatives. They’re most active at night or at dusk. They have grey and black plumage & long white head. These social birds breed in colonies of stick nests usually built over water. They live in fresh, salt & brackish wetlands and are the most widespread heron in the world.
  10. Blue Jay - Blue jay is a songbird that belongs to the family of crows. It can be found in Central and Eastern parts of North America and South Canada. Blue jay is mostly blue-coloured. Face, throat and belly are white. Wings and tail are covered with white, black and blue plumage. It is an omnivore. It eats seed, nuts, acorns, fruit, insects, eggs and young birds. Blue jays are very intelligent birds. They can survive around 7 years in the wild.
  11. Mute Swan - Mute Swans are very large waterfowl. They have heavy bodies, short legs, and a long, slender neck habitually held in a graceful S. Mute Swans are entirely white with a bill that is orange with a black base. Mute Swans spend most of their time floating on the water. They feed by grazing on underwater vegetation.
  12. Rosella – Rosella is one of six species of colourful Australian parrots in the genus Platycercus. Ranging in size from 26–37 cm, Rosella's are medium-sized parrots with long tails. Rosella's are native to Australia and nearby islands, where they inhabit forests, woodlands, farmlands, and suburban parks and gardens.
  13. Booby - Booby is a large species of sea-bird closely related to the gannet. Boobies are large birds with long pointed wings and bills. They hunt fish and squid by diving into the sea and chasing their prey underwater.
  14. Owl - Owls are birds in the order Strigiformes. There are 200 species, and they are all birds of prey. Owls are Nocturnal. Owls are specialists at night-time hunting. They feed on small mammals such as rodents, insects and other birds and a few species like to eat fish as well. Owls can rotate their heads and necks up to 270 degrees in both directions.
  15. Toucan - Toucan is a South American bird in the family Ramphastidae. Toucans are renown for their large colourful bills. At 8 inches they have the longest bill of any bird in the world in relation to their body size 25 inches. Toucans mainly eat fruit, but sometimes prey on insects and small lizards. Toucans are one of the nosier jungle birds. They live for up to 20 years.
  16. Rainbow Lorikeet - Rainbow Lorikeet is an Australasian parrot. This brightly coloured parrot lives on the east coast of Australia. It has bright red feathers on the chest, with orange and yellow feathers on the sides of its chest. It has deep blue feathers on its abdomen and head. It also has stripes of yellow among its green feathers. It has a bright red bill with grey legs and feet.
  17. Red Headed Woodpecker – Red Headed Woodpecker is a small or medium-sized woodpecker from temperate North America. They are strikingly tri-coloured, with a black back and tail and a red head and neck. Their underparts are mainly white. The wings are black with white secondaryremiges. The species is listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
  18. Ostrich - Ostrich is a large flightless bird that lives in Africa. They are the largest living bird species and have the biggest eggs of all living birds. Ostriches do not fly, but can run faster than any other bird. Ostriches have long legs and a long neck, but they have a small head. Male ostriches can be 6 - 9 ft tall, while female ostriches are 5.5 - 6.5 ft tall.
