  1. Tiger - Tiger is the biggest species of the cat family. Tiger is the national animal of India. Tigers are best known for their stripes. Tigers have large paws and sharp, retractable claws. They use them for killing their prey. Tigers are solitary & territorial animal. Average lifespan of tiger is 18 to 25 years.
  2. Leopard - Leopards are part of the cat family. Leopards are well known for their cream and gold spotted fur. A leopard’s body is built for hunting. They have sleek, powerful bodies and can run at speeds of up to 57 km/h. Leopards are mostly nocturnal, hunting their prey at night. Average lifespan is between 10-15 years.
  3. Puma (Cougar) - Puma is also commonly known as the Cougar, Mountain Lion and Catamount. Puma is a large, secretive cat predominantly found in the mountains from southern Canada to the tip of South America. Average lifespan of puma is 10 – 15 years.
  4. Snow Leopard - Snow leopards are found at altitudes between 9,800 and 17,000 feet in the high, rugged mountains of Central Asia. Snow leopard, has thick fur, white, yellowish or soft grey coat with ringed spots of black on brown. Average lifespan is between 15-18 years.
  5. Polar Bear - Polar bear is a carnivorous bear whose native range lies largely within the Arctic Circle. It has black skin under the white fur. The fur keeps them very warm. They are strong and can swim very well. Polar bears are similar in size to a normal bear but have a slimmer neck, longer legs and fur. They are mostly carnivorous & mostly eat seals and fish.
  6. Seal - Seals are group of marine mammals that live in various regions of the world. They can survive both in polar and in tropic water. Seals spend much of their life in water. Seal can hold its breath for 2 hours which is a maximum in the animal world. They eat squids and fish usually.
  7. Otter - River otters are animals that live near and around water. They live in nests called holts. They are long and slim animals with four short legs that can be longer than a meter. They have a thick fur coat that keeps them warm even in freezing water. They have very soft, insulated underfur, which is protected by an outer layer of long guard hairs.
  8. Badger - Badger is small mammal that belongs to the weasel family. Badger is covered with grey, coarse coat. It has black face with white markings, light stripe on dorsal side of the body, light-coloured belly and dark-coloured legs. Badger has elongated head, small ears, stocky, wedge-shaped body, short legs and broad feet equipped with long claws.
  9. Crocodile - Crocodiles are large aquatic reptiles that live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. Crocodiles live in rivers, lakes & dams. Their colours range from brown to grey and have different patterns covering them. They have sharp claws and teeth. They can hold their breath for a maximum of about two hours underwater.
  10. Shark - There are more than 350 different kinds of sharks. Sharks come in many different shapes and sizes, but most are long and thin, with powerful jaws. Their teeth are constantly replaced throughout their lives.
  11. Hyena - Hyenas are large, dog-like, carnivores. They live in savannas, grasslands, sub-deserts and forests of Africa and Asia. They are nocturnal animals. Hyenas are cannibals. They may attack and eat other hyenas, especially when they are young.
  12. Wolf - Wolves are excellent hunters and have been found to be living in more places in the world than any other mammal except humans. The wolf is the ancestor of all breeds of domestic dog. Lifespan of wolf is between 10 to 12 years.
