1. Aeroplane - An aeroplane is a powered
fixed-wing aircraft that is moved forward by thrust from a jet engine
or propeller. It is fastest means of passenger transportation. The
Wright brothers made the first successful airplane in 1903.
2. Metro Railway - Metro is a type of
high-capacity public transport generally found in urban areas. Unlike
buses or trams, rapid transit systems are electric railways that
operate on an exclusive right-of-way, which cannot be accessed by
pedestrians or other vehicles.
3. Mono Rail - A monorail is a railway in
which the track consists of a single rail, typically elevated.
Monorails have found applications in airport transfer and medium
capacity metros. Monorails are often used to transport people around
large cities. Some monorails utilise magnets to hover on their rails,
reducing friction between the train and the rail.
4. Bicycle – A bicycle is a small, human
powered land vehicle with a seat, two wheels, two pedals and a metal
chain connected to cogs on the pedals and rear wheel. A frame gives
the bike strength and the other parts are attached to the frame.
Riding bicycles, which is also called cycling, is an important way to
travel in several parts of the world. It is also a common recreation,
a good form of low-impact exercise and a popular sport.
5. Cargo Ship - A cargo ship carries
cargo, goods and materials from one port to another. Thousands of
cargo carriers travel on the world's seas and oceans each year and
handle most international trade. Cargo ships are usually specially
designed for a special task, often carrying tools like cranes to load
and unload.
6. Jeep - Jeep is a Sports Utility
Vehicle. It is built to be a rugged vehicle that combines cargo and
passenger carrying capacity. They are bigger than motor car.
7. Helicopter – A helicopter is a kind
of flying machine or aircraft. A helicopter lifts up off of the
ground and moves because of its rotors. A rotor is several small
wings, called rotor blades, that spin together around a shaft.
Helicopters are especially useful when there are disasters. Food
packets, water, medicines and clothes are dropped from the air to
people on the ground who cannot be reached by road.
8. Van – A van is a kind of vehicle used
for transporting goods or people. A van is usually bigger than the
regular sized car. Vans are commonly used for transporting people
from a family, transporting students etc. Larger vans with only front
seats are often used for business purposes, to carry goods and
equipment.
9. Dumper Truck – A dumper truck is a
truck used for transporting loose material, such as sand, gravel or
dirt for construction. A typical dump truck is equipped with an
open-box bed, which is hinged at the rear and equipped with hydraulic
pistons to lift the front, allowing the material in the bed to be
deposited on the ground behind the truck at the site of delivery.
