1. Fruit Vendor – A fruit vendor sells
different variety of fruits in his store or a fruit stand. They buy
the fruits from the farmers market and sell the fruits in local
neighbourhood.
2. Scientist – A scientist is a person
who studies & has expertise in science. A scientist tries to
understand how our world or other things, work. Scientists make
observations, ask questions and do extensive research work in finding
the answers to many questions others may not know about. Scientists
often make experiments to find out more about reality.
3. Architect – An architect is a person
who plans, designs and oversees the construction of buildings.
Architects decide the size, shape and what the building will be made
from. Architects need to be good at maths and drawing.
4. Chef – A chef is a highly trained and
skilled professional cook who is proficient in all aspects of food
preparation of a particular cuisine. They usually work in
restaurants. The chef is responsible for everything about the food in
a restaurant. He is responsible for buying food, creating the menus
for the customers and deciding the recipes.
5. Sculptor - Sculptors are fine artists
who specialize in making three-dimensional artworks from a variety of
mediums, including clay, metal and wood. Sculptors can sell their
work to private collectors, galleries or museums.
6. Farmer - A farmer is a person engaged
in agriculture, raising living organisms for food or raw materials. A
farmer might own the farmed land or might work as a labourer on land
owned by others. Farmers are the one's who provide us with the food.
7. Florist - Florists are professional
floral designers who arrange, cut and dry flowers to create
eye-pleasing displays such as corsages, center pieces, wreaths and
bouquets used for gift baskets and holiday, wedding and funeral
displays. Florists may work for retail outlets or own their own
businesses.
8. Electrician – An electrician is a
person who fixes the wires and switches so that lights and outlets
work the right way. Electricians may be employed in the installation
of new electrical components or the maintenance and repair of
existing electrical infrastructure.
9. Launderer – Launderer are those whose
traditional occupation was washing clothes. They usually operate from
door to door collecting dirty linen from households. After a day or
two, they return the linen washed, sometimes starched and ironed.
10. Fisherman – A fisherman is a person
who catches fish and sometimes other animals that live in water.
Catching fish is known as fishing. Fishermen usually catch fish so
that they can sell the fish to make money.
11. Weaver – Weavers uses wool to create
articles of clothing which can be used or sold at the market.
12. Journalist – A journalist is a person
who collects, writes or distributes news or other current
information. A journalist's work is called journalism. They may work
on their own "freelance" or for a newspaper, a radio or a
television programme.
